has teamed up with the City of Dalton CVB to host our Fall Fast pitch Softball College Showcase and Player Showcase Camp. We are very excited about our Field of Dreams – Fall Southern Showcase & Camp, scheduled for October 31 through November 2 in Dalton, Georgia. We can not imagine a better location than to have this event at Heritage Park with the mountain backdrop and 10 beautiful softball fields. For the very first time; Team Entry into the Showcase includes all Un-signed players admission to the Showcase Camp.
General Tournament Information:
Tournament Entry INCLUDES CAMP ENTRY FOR ALL UN-SIGNED PLAYERS
A non-working UIC will be present during the tournament at all times
Only college level ASA certified umpires will be used for the tournament.
2 tournament directors will be present and available at all times.
Team Registration:
Each teams registration fee will be $600.00
Gate fees will be $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for students 9-17 & seniors for the weekend. Each team will be provided with 3 coach’s passes for free admission.
Teams will be required to submit a team profiles for acceptance into the tournament, screening will be based on; team history, experience and the number of players that are 2009 and 2010 graduates.
Upon acceptance, teams will be required to pay the registration fee on-line before they are officially in the tournament. Before payment is made Teams will not be displayed on the Champion Sports Events web site. Teams may pay by credit card, debit card or check.
Upon acceptance, teams will be required to complete the on-line registration process, which includes; team profile, contact information and individual player profiles. This information is provided to the college coaches and it is very important that the information is provided in a timely manor.
The deadline for registration will be when the first 60 teams are approved and payment is received.
There will be no refund of registration fee’s after a team is accepted for any reason.
College Recruiting Camp:
Each player interested in attended the Player Showcase Camp must register on-line, to learn more about our camp please return to the schedule and select the appropriate camp for specific details.
Special Events:
A special recruiting opportunity will be provided on Friday, November 9th at 6:30 and 8:30 PM, the Field of Dreams Southern Showcase All-star Games. Game Format
The tournament will include a 5 game guarantee, additional games may be available upon request for a fee of $50.00 per team. All games will be pool games, the schedule will be as follows:
· Pool games will begin Friday Morning October 31 at 8:00 AM
· All games will be drop dead with a 1:40 time limit
· Games will be scheduled every 1:45 minutes
· All teams will play one or two games on Friday morning
· The last game on Friday will start at 1:15 PM
· Pool games will re-start on Saturday morning November 1 at 8:00 AM
· The last game on Saturday will start at 6:00 PM
· The final round of Pool games will begin on Sunday Morning November 2 at 8:00 AM
· The final games will be played at 4:00 PM on Sunday November 2.
College Recruiting Camp:
The college recruiting camp cost is included in the team entry fee. We ask that ALL UN-SIGNED players attend. The registration process is part of the team roster and player profiles. Players or coaches are ask to check the camp box within the team player profiles. indicating your intention to attend. The camp will begin at 3:30 PM Friday October 31, check-in for the camp will begin at 3:00 PM Friday October 31 and will be held at the Champion Sports Events trailer within the park.
Special Events:
A special recruiting opportunity will be provided on Friday night, October 31 at 8:00 PM and Saturday night at 8:00 PM, the Field of Dreams Southern Showcase All-star Games. Tournament Format:
· Teams will be allowed to bat all players and have free substitutions
· The pitching distance will be 43 feet.
· The tournament will be a ASA sanctioned event.
Vendors:
Several major manufacturers will be present during the event, the vendors will be placed through-out the park..
Special Services:
Registered college coaches will be provided with discounted hotel rooms.
Arrangements for a Host Hotel have been made.
Access to player and team profiles on-line will be provided for college coaches.
Each college coach will be provided with a bound printed team and player profile package that includes game schedules.
On-line brackets updated though-out the tournament will be provided.
A text messaging system available to all registered participates, college coaches, club team coaches and fans will be provided. The system will broadcast alerts for game time changes, game results and weather updates.
Accommodations
Champion Sports Events has negotiated special rates at several hotels in the area of the tournament to guarantee adequate accommodations. If your team requires Hotel rooms, it is a condition of your teams acceptance into the tournament for your team to utilize rooms arranged by Champion Sports Events. After you have completed your registration, our director of hotels will contact you for accommodations. If your team chooses not to book through our director of hotels, the team will be charged an additional $100.00 assessment
